Your INFINITI has plenty of systems to offer you safety and protection while driving, but you also need safety and protection when it's stationary. An effective lock and key system is vital for protecting your INFINITI while it's not in use, and the Door Lock Cylinder (Left) is a fundamental piece of your door locks.

The Door Lock Cylinder (Left) is a small cylinder (made of strong metal) that's installed within the door handle assembly of your INFINITI. When you insert a key or utilize the keyless entry feature, the cylinder turns, which allows your door to be opened. As you might expect, a finicky lock cylinder could leave you locked out of your vehicle. If the cylinder is warped, it could get caught mid-turn and become unusable. If your door lock or handle frequently gets stuck when you try to unlock your INFINITI or you discover that one of your doors won't consistently lock or unlock, now might be a good time to replace the Door Lock Cylinder (Left).

In many vehicles, removing and replacing your Door Lock Cylinder (Left) will require removal of the interior door panel (plus, rewiring of electrical connections for some powered locking mechanisms). If you're not comfortable disassembling the door handle and trim panel, we suggest visiting your local INFINITI authorized dealer or service site for guidance and installation.
