Your PCV Valve, or Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve, recycles toxic gasses exhaled from the crankcase in your INFINITI. The PCV Valve attaches to crankcase, which holds your vehicle's motor oil. As fuel burns, the motor oil in the crankcase develops gasses that can be damaging to the mechanical systems inside your INFINITI and earth's atmosphere. Rather than allowing those gases to seep into your engine and create sludge that can damage the integrity of your engine system, your PCV Valve provides a safer escape route. They go into the combustion chamber to be burned. At last, they are emitted from your vehicle as less-harmful fumes.

This tiny, but important part mitigates a large amount of harmful gasses from escaping, while providing ventilation for the crankcase. If a PCV Valve becomes damaged, you may experience engine problems. A congested or closed valve may create high engine pressure, gasket failure, oil leaks, squealing, unwanted engine moisture, or buggy sensors. Sometimes a PCV Valve becomes stuck open. When this happens, it can lead to black smoke, loud noises while your engine idles, a hard starting engine, or oil in the PCV Valve.
