  • Important part of cooling system
  • The hose coolant travels through to get between the radiator and engine
  • Replace when cracked or leaking

Your INFINITI depends on its cooling system to ensure your vehicle doesn't overheat. And your vehicle's cooling system relies on a functioning, quality Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower) to work like it should. As the coolant fluid in your INFINITI goes through the radiator and coolant system to your engine, it has to go through a Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower). It's essential that the Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower) remain free from cracks, bloating, or leaks that could cause more damage to your INFINITI.

Eventually, the rubber in the Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower) on your INFINITI can wear out. When this occurs, the Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower) may become brittle and crack, causing coolant to leak out. If enough coolant leaks out, your vehicle's engine may not receive enough coolant to maintain a safe engine temperature, potentially causing your INFINITI to overheat. An overheated engine could lead to added repairs and further damage to your vehicle.

Also, your Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower) can become bloated, which means the hose swells up. If low coolant causes the engine to overheat, it may cause extremely hot coolant to travel through the Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower), which can make the rubber swell and bloat, possibly causing additional cracks and damage to your vehicle's Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower).

If you feel the Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower) on your vehicle needs to be replaced, a visual inspection is often a good place to start. When dealing with the coolant system, always ensure the vehicle's engine and coolant system are completely cool, as the entire cooling system is pressurized, and extremely hot coolant fluid can spray if the Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower) becomes compromised.

When looking at the Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower), look for swelling, cracks, dry-rot, and warping. Check the ground underneath the vehicle for coolant leaks, especially where your Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower) is attached to the vehicle.

In addition, look at your dashboard if you suspect a bad Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower). Check to see if the Low Coolant light is on or if the temperature gauge is showing the engine running too hot. Your INFINITI owner's manual has an overview of the different dashboard lights and their meanings.

Is it time to replace your INFINITI's Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower)? Order a genuine replacement Cooling System Radiator Coolant Hose (Lower) for your INFINITI M35 or INFINITI M45. See the What This Fits tab for more details.
