Your Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal can be found on the transfer case of your INFINITI JX35 or INFINITI QX60. The transfer case's job is to send power to the rear wheels on a four-wheel-drive INFINITI using chain drives and gear reductions.

The transfer case output shaft is the part that connects your axle to the transfer case with the transmission's input shaft and utilizes the Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal to make sure that the parts maintain a tight connection. Without a working Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal, transmission fluid can leak out of the front and rear output shaft.

If a broken or worn out Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal is causing a leak, the low fluid level can no longer properly lubricate the internal parts of the transfer case, which can damage the gears and chain drives by causing them to overheat or wear out. These damaged internal parts can cause the entire transfer case to wear down and become inoperable, which can leave the vehicle without four-wheel-drive capability.
