The Accelerator Pedal Sensor in your INFINITI sends electronic signals to the throttle, which determines how fast it moves based on how your gas pedal is engaged. If the gas pedal is depressed, the Accelerator Pedal Sensor then tells the throttle to open wider and allow larger amounts of air and fuel to enter the engine.
