The Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve, or PCV Valve, controls gas emissions expelled from the crankcase in your INFINITI. The valve connects to the crankcase, which houses motor oil. As your engine burns fuel, the lubricant in your crankcase creates emissions that are toxic to the mechanical systems inside your INFINITI and the atmosphere. Rather than allowing those gases to seep into your engine and create sludge that can damage the integrity of your engine system, the PCV Valve gives the gases a place to escape.
